A Legacy Rooted In Richmond
A Family Trade, A Reputation Earned the Hard Way
CB Chandler started with a father and son who believed there was a better way to build things that matter, things worth taking pride in. Benjamin Wright grew up watching his dad, Craig, build with his hands. He saw the care that went into every piece of trim, the time spent making sure each cabinet door hung straight. He learned that good work isn’t about hurrying through a job, it’s about respect—for the craft, for the people you work beside, and for the folks who trust you with their homes and businesses.
After many years managing large scale commercial projects, Benjamin knew it was time to return to his roots and build something together. In 2011, Benjamin and Craig launched CB Chandler. No big crew. No fancy shop. Just two sets of hands, a lot of early mornings, and a promise that every project would be treated like it was happening in their own house.
They believed that if you showed up with respect and left something you were proud of, word would get around. And it did. The team at CB Chandler has grown since those early days, but that simple idea still guides us today. Do the work with care. Be honest about what a project needs. Treat people like neighbors.

Our History
CB Chandler opens its doors with a simple idea: do good work and treat people right.
Benjamin and Craig spend long days doing every trade themselves, laying the groundwork for a reputation built on trust.
Master Electrician, Brian Lee, joins the business extending CB Chandler’s electrical capabilities and expertise.
A warehouse becomes home base as more businesses and homeowners call on CB Chandler.
Roofing services are added, helping families protect what matters most.
The company moves into a 10,000-square-foot shop, built to support bigger projects without losing that personal touch.
The team sits down and puts their shared values—Quality, Integrity, Transparency, Dedication—into words.
A partnership with a respected interior design firm comes to life, making projects smoother from start to finish.
Work with Us
Employment
Around here, showing up matters as much as skill. The best we’ve worked with have been the ones who pay attention, help each other out, and care about getting things right.
You’ll see it when an apprentice gets coached through something new instead of being left to figure it out alone. You’ll see it when someone stays late to finish a detail no one else would notice.
If you want to feel proud of what you build and work with people who care about the same, there’s a place here for you.
Internship
An internship at CB Chandler means you won’t be stuck fetching coffee. You’ll be out in the field, learning the work from people who’ve been doing it a long time.
You’ll get to lay out materials, see how a plan comes together, and understand what goes into making a job site safe, clean, and done right. It’s a chance to see what this trade looks like up close and decide if it’s something you want to make your own.
